Bobby Brock watercolor on paper
This is Bobby Brock. He's a shy young badger, but he's also a wonderful friend, and he loves to cloud-paint.

Simon Squirrel watercolor on paper
There's no nut he finds too tough to crack. To be sure, he's one smart squirrel.
Spring Has Sprung watercolor on paper
Thoughts of spring are blooming in my mind, and it has already sprung up in my heart. Something tells me that the Easter Bunny might just like a fancy little smock, so I painted one for her and handed her a bouquet.
The Key to My Heart 7"x7" watercolor on paper
This little bird lass holds they key to her own heart in her beak, exposing it, vulnerable to give away to a sweet love bird. There are many different keys that open many different locks, unlocking someone's heart is the most precious treasure of all.
The Family Fox 11"x14" watercolor on paper
I just loved creating this for a family who commissioned me. Had the funnest time putting these wonderful personalities into fox men, women and children! You can see their great many interests, and hobbies represented, and I am sending many thanks to them for asking me to create this special house warming gift.
p.s.
The funnest fact about this entire piece? The new owner's last name is Fox!
Hopper watercolor on paper
Just a rabbit in his garden, defending it from thieving crows.
Scout watercolor on paper
Scout is quite the little adventurer. He asked me for that skeleton key, and I gave it to him... Not certain of what he is going to use it for, but he sure did want it!!
The Animal's Picnic 12"x12" watercolor on paper
Summer get-togethers are the funnest, and this bunch has gathered 'round a mushroom cap for a feast of corn and ripe watermelon. Good things are always made that much better with friends. I hope your summer looks something like this (but if you are keeping company with a sweet little otter dressed in retro attire, please let me know, I'd love to tag along!)
Happy Summer!
Farmer O'Hare & Bonnie Bunny 12"x10" watercolor on paper
These two rabbit farmers are my favorites! If you'd like to see the on your walls, I just put them up in my shop. You can give them a home, here!
Sweet William 8"x10" watercolor on paper
Another original is up in my shop! I would think it could be great fun to catch a ride on a snail, and enjoy a happy garden tour at their leisurely pace...
An Afternoon of Hygge 8"x10" watercolor on paper
I'm making a few of my favorite paintings available for sale! You can purchase Hygge, here.
These friends are looking forward to meeting you!
Farmer O'Hare & Bonny Bunny: The Morning Chores 12"x10" watercolor on paper
A glimpse into the charming country life of Farmer O'Hare & Bonny Bunny. I'm convinced there could be no sweeter homestead than theirs.
Another something sweet from the same project as my deer & mushrooms. It certainly looks like that crown suits him.
I was very honored to be approached by a Taiwanese magazine that circulates through the educational system, featuring art and inspiring people, places and things to inspire a future generation!
Farmer O'Hare 12"x10" watercolor on paper
Farmer O'Hare and Bonnie Bunny are busy gathering and working in their garden.
I've fallen in love with these two characters, and I can guarantee that you will be seeing a lot more of them in my coming work!
An Afternoon of Hygge 8"x10" watercolor on paper
A simple practice of cozy. There's nothing like the comfort that can be found in the company of good friends and a warm bowl of hot soup.
A Definition: Hygge: (noun) A Danish word for a quality of coziness (=feeling warm, comfortable, and safe) that comes from doing simple things such as lighting candles, baking, or spending time at home with your family: You can read more about Hygge here, through this fun article courtesy of The New Yorker.
Come to find out, I've been practicing this lifestyle since I was a child, I just never knew the word for it before now.
Something I have been busy working on lately that has a lot to do with coziness. Finished watercolor to follow.
The Kindergardener Snake 8.5"x11" watercolor on paper
Here it is! The finished illustration I painted and designed for a guide on the Python computer programming language written by Mike Driscoll.
Since the subject of the project revolved around a vintage school house, mice, and a friendly snake, I titled the finished piece: The Kindergardener Snake. I had so much fun creating this little school house scene for a book on learning and teaching yourself a modern language!
Almost done with this project, and I am very much loving the mice! I'll be posting the finished illustration for this fun book cover tomorrow!
The first soft, barely-there layers of color. I love this stage of the painting process!
