Another something sweet from the same project as my deer & mushrooms. It certainly looks like that crown suits him.
Hard-Boiled Eggs & Soft Blooms
Boiled eggs emerging from a metal pot, and sinking down into lovely hues of tinted vinegar. It is Easter-Eve for certain.
Oh, how I love this time of year! Every time spring rolls around, I fall that much more in love with it. I fashioned these two painted shells after old delftware and blue china patterns of yesteryear. And of course, I come by my love of daffodils naturally, they were my Grandmother's favorite flower. I can absolutely see why.
Happy Easter, my little rabbits!

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -" -Emily Dickinson
The Beginnings of a Birthday Scene
Little watercolor faces singing Happy Birthday & blowing out candles at a party. An early peek at the companion piece for my illustration, The Neighborhood.
WIP: Painting Pansies
I've been a busy bee this past week. Here is a close-up of something I recently finished. I'll share the finished piece with all of you little rabbits tomorrow.
